History
 
DTC Computer Supply is a privately held Corporation owned by Mike Kinsley and Jeff Brown and our strategy is simple, service is number one!! We are located in Rancho Cucamonga, Ca. and are 45 miles South of Los Angeles. We have sales offices in Oregon, South Dakota and Norwalk Ct.
 
DTC was established back in 1969, which meant Data Tape Company. My father, Theodore R. Kinsley was the original owner and had a vision to re-certify ½ computer tape. In 1970 he purchased his first Tape certifier from Recortec. Throughout the 70’s he purchased another 4 certifiers, and to date we have 9 running in production.
 
In 1988 he passed away and I purchased the trade name DTC from my mother Annabelle L. Kinsley. In 1990, Jeff Brown was brought in as a partner. The match between the two, Mike in sales and management and production working in the West coast and Jeff, working in the East and having years of not only phone sales experience but having outside sales under his belt made a great team!
 
Marc Curd has been involved with DTC for over 25 years. He is both Jeff’s and Mike’s right hand. He handles the entire West Coast purchasing and has a hand in the everyday running of DTC. Looking forward to the 50th year anaversity!!!
 
Larry Fister, can’t really put a date up, he has been associated with DTC before 1973. He is not only is a great friend but his phone sales experience can’t be beat.
 
In 1996, Rick and Monica Hardy joined the team of DTC. Their experience and knowledge in this field of Ribbons, Toner and Tape Media backup is amazing. If you can’t find something, get with Rick and if he can’t find it, it’s not out there!!! They are not only great sales associates but also life long friends!!
 
Robert Burgess, is an inside sales associate and has been with DTC since 1997. In 2002 Robert became our #1 inside sales associate in both new accounts and increase in sales revenue.
 
Moses Ward came on board in 1998 and opened up our office in Nevada. In 1990, Moses relocated to South Dakota. Moses is our youngest sales associate and his energy shows it. He has been a great addition to our team.
 
Now to my production, warehouse and shipping team. Both of my sons Nick and Dusty came on board in 1999. Nick runs shipping, receiving and the production department. He also works with our dealers. Dusty is in charge of our repair and maintenance division He is HP certified and can repair any HP printer out there. They are both full of energy and are chomping at the bit to move forward.
 
Tom Mc Gaughy has been with DTC also 25 plus years. He is in charge of our Tape Certification department. He is the first here and never misses work, hats off to him for all the great work that he has done.
 
The rest of the Team, Leora, Louis and Julio, they handle the rest of the production team. They are the ones that make sure the products we sell tested boxed and ready to go!!
 
And to our front office, Tambra and Grace. Tambra came on board in 1998. She is in charge of our A/P and returns department. Watch out she likes to hold on to the money as long as she can. Great team player!! Grace, she handles the phones, filing and collects the money. She has been with us just a little over a year and between the both have done a great job. Many, many thanks!!
 
Throughout the 1990’s DTC has not only re-certified and re-condition ½ magnetic Tape we have expanded our re-certified media to include DLT Tapes, 3480,3490 tapes, 8MM / 4MM tapes. Also 3590 and 3570 tape media. Both Jeff and myself stress not only service, but our quality is unbeatable.
