AME Mammoth 8mm Data Cartridges
Mammoth is a magnetic drive and data tape system for archiving and storing computer data. Mammoth Tapes use helical scanning to optimize storage and transfer rates. Some styles of Mammoth tape can hold up to 40 gigabytes of information when utilizing compression and transfers data at up to 6 megabytes per second. The tape measures 8mm across.
